An Open Review of the Equisync Deep Meditation Program
EquiSync is a brain entrainment meditation product similar to Holosync, which creates sound frequencies known as binaural beats to guide you into an advanced state of meditation. If you are a daily meditator or even someone just starting out, Equisync claims to lead you towards a deeper experience with your meditation practice.
What is the Equisync Program?
The program was developed to help people who maybe have trouble meditating to skip over the challenges associated with mental chatter and concentration difficulties and into an advanced state of connectedness, mental awareness, tapping into higher consciousness.
What is the EOC Institue?
The EOC Institue or the Exploration of Consciousness Research Institute are the creators of Equisync. The eoc institute team is focused on studying, building, and testing sound technology for meditation. They created these audio-based brainwave systems to help people have the best possible meditation experience. In short, the product shortens the learning curve normally associated with making progress in meditation. The results are that you achieve the kind of state of mind of someone who started meditating years ago.
In this review, I am going to share my experience with their brain entrainment products and let you all know what I think of the effectiveness of this kind of audio system.
How Do Brain Entertainment Products Work?
The technique called brain wave entrainment is sound technology that uses your brainwave frequencies and combines them with music in separate tracks to influence your mind to enter the state of consciousness associated with that brain wave frequency. The musical beats are able to influence your brainwaves, which in turn induce a different state of consciousness.
For example, our brainwave patterns emit different frequencies, Alpha, Beta, Theta, Delta, and Gamma. This program uses theta waves, which are associated with calmness, reduced anxiety, improved sleep, and sharpened learning, memory, and intuition.
An EEG machine uses electrodes to measure the electrical vibrations or wave frequencies within your brain. Equisync integrates natural brainwave frequencies that would be present in a highly advanced meditator and blends them with music. When you listen to the Equisync cd through your headphones, your brain attempts to mimic the frequency of the brain waves embedded in the music, therefore bringing you into the state of mind of someone who has been meditating for a long time. You will enter a deep state of relaxation and feel calm, peaceful, and spiritually conscious among many other beneficial emotions.
Is brainwave entrainment dangerous?
Some Equisync reviews raise the question of the danger of brainwave entrainment products. I do not believe there is any significant danger to be concerned about at all. If it’s your first time using this kind of product, you should be aware that while there is some scientific research backing up these methods, it is still not conclusive.
Anyone who suffers from seizures, i.e those who have epilepsy should avoid this kind of product to be on the safe side, although it is really rare that brainwave entrainment technology would trigger a seizure.
It is somewhat common sense but you should not operate machinery while listening to Equisync CDs.
In a nutshell, there is nothing dangerous about listening to these mp3 downloads or CDs, they are designed to increase happiness, confidence, help you find balance, and a better quality of life not to harm you.
How to Use Equicsync to Enhance Your Practice
Equisync comes with 3 programs, Equisync 1 to 3.
Each program contains 2 CDs (making a total of 6 for the 3 programs). Each CD has three tracks that last for approximately 24 minutes,
You can go about using the program in two ways:
Structured Progressive Approach
This approach means beginning with the easiest track and progressively listening to different tracks every 3-4 days ending with the most advanced. That will take you anything from 2-4 months, depending on how often you are listening to each track. The benefit of this approach is that it trains your brain to strengthen itself
Intuitive Preferential Approach
With this approach, you simply use the tracks however you prefer without a specified sequence. You get to experiment with all of the tracks on all the CDs and decide which you like or which resonates the most with you and your individual needs. You can choose to just rotate a handful of tracks that you like best.
I personally tried the second approach because I wanted to know what the different tracks were like, rather than progressing through them chronologically. I have since heard from a friend that this might not be the best way to experience Equisync. The progressive approach is apparently better for getting your brain to strengthen and grow more powerful, as you are training it to improve step by step. I personally think it just depends if you like structure or not! The experience is the same ultimately if you follow the guidelines to listen to 1-2 tracks a day (48 minutes or so a day of sitting for your sessions).
The tracks vary from white noise to light, gentle music, and rain sounds. You can also access a demo track (12 minutes long) before deciding whether or not you want to purchase the product. You can download it, listen, and keep it.
What are the Benefits?
The benefits can be emotional, mental, and physical. You can achieve a deep sense of relaxation while also healing your body physically, reducing stress, and blood pressure by bringing yourself into a tranquil state. Other benefits include regulating breathing, releasing anxiety and negative thought patterns, lifting yourself out of depression, tapping into your intuition and creative side, balancing your body’s chemistry, increasing a sense of well-being and happiness, and feeling a deep connection to your inner self. You also somehow increase your concentration and focus while reducing stress. It’s like a tonic to the system.
It really is a whole-body experience, and you can feel this after just one session. I do recommend consistency to get the best results, however, and everyone has a different experience.
What I enjoy about my meditation sessions with Equisync is the primary feeling I get, that really is different to other times I have tried to sit and reach a similar state of mind. Listening to the tracks brings me into a trance-like state of consciousness and I honestly do feel the sensation of physically being relaxed but mentally alert and awake (but without the anxiety and busy thoughts).
I used to suffer from vivid dreams and anxiety, but I’ve noticed a decline in both of these since I began meditating with these recordings. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or if I can attribute it to the product, but I have also gone through some positive relationship changes in my life since listening regularly!
My advice is to read as many reviews and testimonials as possible and decide if it feels right for you. In short, there are other ways to meditate, and no easy path can work for everyone. Some people don’t want to spend this much on a product and I totally get that. Mindfulness and meditating are available to everyone at no price. But if you want to reach new levels of consciousness that maybe as a beginner you struggle to navigate, well it could just be the right package for you.
